Kay Lynn Caviness
Mrs. Caviness joined the Ascension Academy Board of Regents in 2011. A current member of the Amarillo Symphony Guild, Amarillo Art Force, and Amarillo Museum of Art, she has extensive experience in board memberships including a stint as President of the Amarillo Art Force from 1999-2000. Mrs. Caviness is also a member of First Presbyterian Church and performed with the Sanctuary Choir from 2006-2008. In addition, she has served on various Golden Nail Committees. In her spare time, Mrs. Caviness enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband, Brent, are in the cattle and ranching business. She has a daughter, Lauren, who lives in New York City and a son, Spencer, who resides in Amarillo with his wife. Mrs. Caviness enjoys all facets of volunteer work. After donating the Charles Goodnight House and surrounding acreage to the Armstrong County Museum, she chaired the Charles Goodnight Gala, raising more than $300,000 towards the establishment of the Charles Goodnight Museum and Heritage Center. In addition, she loves furthering her education in all areas, especially in the arts. She enjoys reading, music, and is currently focusing on oil painting – her true passion.
