Ascension Academy’s Open House
Amarillo, TX – Amarillo’s Premier College Preparatory Academy is celebrating guaranteed small class sizes, advanced academics, an excellent music program, and a college-focused environment. Parents with children in grades 5-11 are invited to discover the Ascension Academy difference by attending our Open House on Saturday, November 15 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on our campus (Off 45th St., behind Street Toyota).
With recent news of over-crowded public schools in the area, many parents find themselves worried about the quality of their child’s education. With that concern in mind, we invite parents to explore what a private, college preparatory education can mean for their children in grades 6-12.
Ascension Academy is not only committed to helping our students graduate from high school. In fact, 100% of our seniors enroll in colleges and universities throughout the United States each year. But Ascension is about more than college preparation. We help young people to become adults who become difference makers in college and professional careers.
“Ascension Academy has given my children an excellent academic environment. Ascension has prepared my son, a senior and National Merit Semi-Finalist, to excel academically at any university in the country,” said Ascension Parent Kim Hancock.
In addition to meeting our high expectations, our seniors have the credentials and receive the personal attention from our guidance counselor that allows them to secure a rich amount of college scholarships. More than $700,000 in merit scholarships earned from last year’s graduates proved to be a generous return on the tuition investments made by their parents.
All interested families are invited to attend Open House. In addition to touring our campus, families will have the chance to meet current Ascension students, parents, teachers, and our Head of School Dr. William Summerhill.
“Ascension Academy is unique in the Panhandle in providing students with a challenging pre-collegiate program set in a safe, nurturing, and faith-based school community,” said Summerhill.
Families who attend the Open House will have the opportunity to register their children for the fall of 2009 with a 50% discount off the normal registration fee.
