Student Council

The Ascension Academy Student Council is a proud member of the Texas Association of Student Councils. Each spring Ascension students elect a president and four officers for each grade. In the fall each grade elects two class representatives and the 6th grade president and officers.

All Ascension students are eligible to participate in Student Council as long as they passed every class the previous semester and had no disciplinary infractions. Student Council members participate in a variety of mostly community-service-oriented activities such as a canned food drive, a sock drive for the homeless, Easter card drive for Meals on Wheels clients, and recognizing student body birthdays.
