Academic Awards
Achievement Awards are given annually to Ascension students only and are based on excellence in the current academic year.
- Achievement Awards are given to students with exemplary academic, extra-curricular and conduct records in the current academic year at Ascension.
- These awards are decided in the spring by a committee consisting of the Head of School, the school counselor, and selected middle and high school faculty.
Named Achievement Awards:
The Bishop Matthiesen Awards
- $500 awards to the most outstanding Middle School students (4 awards)
- $500 awards to the most outstanding High School students (4 awards)
In honor of the donor, preference will be given to a student of the Roman Catholic faith to one middle school and one high school award recipient.
The Billie F. Norman Award
- $250 award to the most improved student in Middle School
The Dee Gill Science Award
- $250 award given to the outstanding High School Science student
- All Achievement Awards are credited to tuition regardless of any financial aid grants a student may receive.
