R.N., Northwest Texas School of Nursing, Amarillo College

Claudia McClellan R.N. serves Ascension Academy as the school nurse and director of health services. This is her 21st year at Ascension Academy. When the pandemic hit Texas, she joined with COVID response team with the Amarillo Health Department. She coordinates CPR/AED. She is certified in spinal, vision and hearing screenings. She has her food safety manager’s certificate for the school. She also works as a disaster relief nurse for a company out of San Antonio. Prior to coming to Ascension Academy, Mrs. McClellan was charge nurse of a residential treatment center.
