Katy is an Amarillo transplant, previously living in Minneapolis, Chicago, and Memphis, TN, before moving to Texas. Katy joined Ascension in 2013, after a lengthy career in corporate accounting, financial compliance, marketing, and strategic business development.

Katy is currently the treasurer for the Randall County Republican Party, board member and treasurer for Window on a Wider World, and a member of the City of Amarillo Library Advisory Board. She has served on several other non-profit boards over the years and is actively involved with community groups dedicated to children and education. Katy brings the perspective of both parent and administrator to her role in admissions. Her daughter, Emma began her tenure at Ascension in 6th grade and was the valedictorian for the class of 2022. The Reids enjoy the arts, traveling, skiing, volunteer work, being grandparents, and spending time with family and friends.
