Annual Fund Giving
Ascension Academy depends on contributions from its teachers, families, and many supporters to help defray the cost of providing the educational needs of our students.
In 2010-2011 tuition covered approximately 49 percent of the costs to run the school. The Annual Fund is one way that friends of Ascension can help close the gap between the actual cost of doing business and the tuition income.
As our goal is to provide exemplary college preparatory education for our children, while ensuring that tuitions remain affordable for families in the Panhandle, we must rely on donations.
The response of Ascension’s friends to the 2010-2011 Annual Fund exceeded $50,000 in support. To this end, the goal of the 2011-2012 Annual Fund is $50,000. Below are just a few "categories" to give perspective to the difference each gift can make.
Great schools do not thrive on good intentions alone. Look what your money can do for Ascension Academy…
$100 covers one-school day’s expense for the athletic program
$200 allows Ascension to pay its utility bills for one school day
$500 buys textbooks for one Ascension student
$645 will pay for Ascension to pay its utility bills for one school day
$1000 will take care of the security system of the school for one year.
$2900 makes possible a half-tuition grant for a middle school student
$3300 would underwrite a half-tuition grant for a high school student
$5000 will pay for one chartered bus trip for musicians to TAPPS

While other investments are important to the financial health of our school, the Annual Fund provides the basis for all that we do.
Alumni Giving to the Annual Fund
Graduates of Ascension Academy have a unique opportunity to give back to their alma mater through their support of the Annual Fund. We encourage all alums to help create a legacy of giving that will be credited to each graduating class. Please accept our challenge to participate in the continued growth of the school by considering a contribution to the Annual Fund. Graduates are asked to consider a gift in an amount to equal the year of the graduation.
A graduate of 2001 would be asked to give $20.01, while a graduate of 2006 would be asked to give $20.06. In this way every graduate will have the opportunity to invest in Ascension’s success while helping a new generation of students to fulfill their dreams.
