Dance at Ascension Academy

Ascension Academy is happy to offer, in conjunction with Lone Star Ballet Company, a dance program for students interested in developing their talents in a variety of dance forms. Taught by Vicki McLean, Director of Dance at Lone Star Ballet, the dance class meets several afternoons each week and carries with it physical education credit. 

The dance program tries to give students a broad exposure to movement that emphasizes balance, rhythm, and dance techniques that can be used across a range of dance styles. The students prepare set pieces that are presented at school programs and other special events through the school year.
