Mr. Kasselman recently joined Ascension Academy on a part-time basis as Director of Administrative Services and teacher of protestant religion and economics.

Born and raised in South Africa, he completed a two-year stint in the military after high school. After completing his military career, he pursued a career in financial planning while studying toward a business degree.

Several years later a change in career brought him to the US along with his wife Arlene to attend seminary. Once he completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Bible and Ministry at Abilene Christian University, he pastored at a church in the Dallas area before moving to Central Church of Christ in Amarillo at the end of 2001. He currently serves as their Executive Pastor.

Mr. Kasselman has a daughter, Michaela, who attends Ascension Academy and a son, Spencer, who is in elementary school. Mr. Kasselman is married to Arlene who is chair of Ascension's religion department and a protestant religion teacher.

Sitting down every day to a good cup of South African tea with his wife is one of Mr. Kasselman's favorite pastimes!
