Eileen Dolan joins Ascension Academy to teach Catholic Religion. A native of New Providence, New Jersey, Ms. Dolan came to Amarillo in 1999 via Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she resided for 23 years.

Ms. Dolan received a BA in History (with minors in Philosophy and Theology) from the University of Dayton, and a Master in Religious Education from Loyola University.

Before joining the St. Thomas the Apostle staff as Director of Religious Education and Social (Justice) Ministry in 1999, she served in the same positions in the Diocese of Tulsa for ten years. She has been the keynote speaker and a presenter at various Catechetical Conferences. In addition, Ms. Dolan has taught in the Diocese of Amarillo Diaconate Program and has served on Diocesan Formation Committees in the Dioceses of Tulsa and Amarillo.

Before it went into syndication, she was co-chairperson for the St. Jude (Children’s Research Hospital) Telethon in Tulsa, a volunteer position she held for 5 years.

Ms. Dolan’s hobbies include reading, cooking, traveling and spoiling her grandchildren.

She is the mother of three children: Sean Patrick, Michele-Therese Spencer, and Brian O’Connell and the proud grandmother of seven: Timmy, Brady, Justin, Logan, Pryor, Peyton and Regan. She resides in Amarillo with her two Westies – Claddagh and Chiarrai
