Mr. Harter joins Ascension Academy to teach government and economics and Catholic Studies. He will also head up the History Department. Mr. Harter attended Texas Tech and earned his BA degree in scholastic philosophy from Conception Seminary, Missouri, and his Master's in history from West Texas State University. He is certified in history and English and social studies composite. He has taught at Christ the King High School in Lubbock, Alamo Catholic in Amarillo, Austin Middle School, and Amarillo High School in a career that spans 41 years
