Sue Park, PhD

Sue Park, a member of the Board of Regents, retired from West Texas A&M University in January of 2007 after twenty years as dean of the Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities. A member of the university's faculty beginning in 1966, she served as head of the Department of English and held interim positions as dean of the graduate school and as vice president for academic affairs. Her degrees--B.A., M. A., and Ph.D. in English--were earned at Texas Tech University. A former member of the board of directors of the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra, in retirement she is a mentor at Harrington House, belongs to P.E.O., assists regularly in the WTAMU advising center, and enjoys free time with her husband Denny.
