Ascension Academy Earns Charter Status with the National Speech & Debate Association

Ascension Academy is excited to announce that the National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA) has awarded the school its highest honor, Charter Status.

NSDA’s Charter Status is based on team participation, as it analyzes the team points earned through competition and service compared to the overall school enrollment.  Charter Status recognizes schools that have demonstrated a strong commitment to speech and debate activities, and demonstrate increased student confidence, critical thinking, and students finding their voices.

"I am so proud of all our speech students, past and present, and of the strong, competitive program we have built together over the years.", said Greg White, Speech and Debate coach at Ascension.   "This recognition honors the hard work and dedication of our students, coaches, parents, and staff at Ascension Academy."
