Biography
B.B.A, Accounting, University of Memphis, pursuing M.Ed., West Texas A&M University
Katy is an Amarillo transplant, previously living in Minneapolis, Chicago, and Memphis, TN, before moving to Texas in 1999. Katy joined Ascension in 2013 in pursuit of her life-long passion to serve students’ growth in education and personal development, bringing with her a diverse professional career in corporate accounting, tax, legal, commodities industry compliance, budgeting, risk management, strategic growth, marketing, systems integration, and product and program development.
Katy is currently the board president of Window on a Wider World, treasurer for the Randall County Republican Party, and a member of the City of Amarillo Library Advisory Board. She has served on several other non-profit boards over the years and is actively involved with community groups dedicated to children and education. Katy brings the perspective of both parent and administrator to her role in admissions. Her daughter, Emma, began her tenure at Ascension in 6th grade, was the valedictorian of the class of 2022, completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas Dallas, and is pursuing a master's degree at the University of Denver.
Katy and her husband, Tim enjoy the arts, traveling, skiing, volunteer work, being grandparents, and spending time with family and friends.
