Lisa Soper has nearly twenty years of experience in education, teaching students at the middle school, high school, and college levels. She currently serves as an adjunct instructor at Amarillo College, teaching Biology and Learning Frameworks courses, and is pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership in STEM.
Her academic interests span the biological sciences, with particular interests in wildlife biology, ecology, genetics, cellular biology, and microbiology. She is also a published author whose research has focused on the integration of emerging technologies to support student learning in STEM disciplines.
Lisa is passionate about helping students build confidence, overcome challenges, and
recognize their potential. She believes that success is built through perseverance, curiosity, and a willingness to embrace new opportunities for growth.
Outside the classroom, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and family, gardening, raising chickens, and pursuing outdoor activities. Her love of biology is rooted in a lifelong appreciation for nature, wildlife, and the ecosystems that connect all living things.
