The Texas Panhandle's only private college preparatory school for students in grades 6 through 12
HEAD OF SCHOOL MESSAGE
Hello and welcome to the Ascension Academy website. As you browse through the many different screens and links associated with this site you will start to get a picture of why Ascension is such an important part of the educational landscape of the Texas Panhandle.
Now in our twentieth year, Ascension Academy opens doors for young people who are serious about learning and driven to prepare themselves for success in earning a college degree. We do this by adhering to a clear and proven formula for success, which includes
An outstanding faculty who are empowered to teach without governmentally-directed curricular scripts they must follow;
Small class environments which maximize the student-teacher relationship;
Individualized college guidance counseling with a 100% acceptance rate;
A commitment to a pre-AP, AP and dual-credit curriculum for all students;
A fine arts requirement that helps students develop talents in music, art, and theater to reinforce their learning capacity;
An athletic program that is both instructional and competitive;
An emphasis on the importance of accepting and respecting our different faith backgrounds and traditions.
Young people between grades 6 and 12 are moving through the most important years of their lives, years that will either put them on a path to success in following their dreams or divert them into other pursuits in which their potentials may never be realized. Ascension Academy is a difference-maker for boys and girls who want more from a school and more out of their life choices as adults.
Schools become what they were meant to be when great educators are empowered to teach and students are inspired to learn. That, in a nutshell, is who we are.
I do hope you will accept my invitation to get to know us better by contacting us or by stopping by to meet the educators and students who are Ascension Academy.
I look forward to speaking with you soon.
